BIOGRAPHY
Trang Thu Tran is an Economist in the World Bank Group's Trade & Competitiveness Global Practice. Her recent work at the World Bank focuses on understanding the influence of countries' regulatory structures on firm behavior and competitiveness. In this work, she is also interested in exploring new software tools to glean insight from unconventional data sources. She completed her Ph.D. in development economics at the University of Maryland, College Park, in 2013.
