BIOGRAPHY

Michal Piechocki is the co-founder and the CEO of the Business Reporting – Advisory Group leading its global operations and advising international public institutions on development of the trusted open data ecosystems. His expertise contributed to projects in Europe, Australia, Asia and North and South America including projects specifically for business registers in Poland, Denmark, South Africa, Malaysia, Australia and the Netherlands.

Michal serves as a member of the Board of Directors of XBRL International and as a member of the IFRS Taxonomy Consultative Group at the International Accounting Standards Board. He chairs the Frankfurt Group Technical Workshop on Optimisation of Data Standards hosted by the European Central Bank.

Michal is an author of a number of publications, among other a joint publication by IFAC and ISACA and a book “XBRL for Interactive Data: Engineering the Information Value Chain”. He is also a speaker at variety of financial, technological, supervisory and statistical conferences presenting on IFRS and XBRL financial reporting, LEI, digital data standards, openAPIs and Blockchain / DLT regtech and fintech topics.
