BIOGRAPHY
James joined the UK’s Companies House in September 2016 and is currently leading a data privacy review of the public register, the aim of which is to strike an appropriate balance between data transparency and protection of individuals. He also manages the Insolvency, Information Rights and Knowledge and Information Management Team. James has worked for the UK Government for 15 years and held a wide variety of policy roles in the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (Defra), the Department of Energy and Climate Change (DECC) and the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS).
